Nightdive’s SiN: Reloaded is finally, actually coming this year, probably

Holy crap. Do you remember SiN: Reloaded? Nightdive’s intended remaster of 1998’s first-person shooter, SiN? It hasn’t even been mentioned in a really long time. It was announced back in 2020, and they intended to release it later that year, but it didn’t happen.

Well, it’s happening now. As part of The MIX + Kinda Funny Spring Game Showcase, they announced that it’s coming… this year! 2026. That’s a pretty broad window, but hey, I’ll take anything.

I picked up the sequel, SiN Episodes: Resurgence out of a bargain bin years ago (back when you could find PC games in a bargain bin), and loved how great it made headshots feel. I should probably revisit it, but part of me wants to wait until I’ve played through all of the original SiN. So, I waited for Reloaded.

And I waited. And I waited. And other Nightdive remasters came and went with no word on SiN: Reloaded.

A few years ago (2022), I actually asked Larry Kuperman about it. He told me, “Frankly, we took on too many projects all at once – the price of popularity.” Fair enough! I just didn’t expect it to take so long for them to finally get around to it.

It’s cool! Levelord, one of Duke Nukem 3D’s main level designers, worked on it! And you can tell. I only played the first level of it, but my impression was that it felt like Duke Nukem 3D. So, I’m looking forward to it. I’m on board. I’m there. Let’s go!

SiN: Reloaded is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Switch sometime in 2026.

Zoey made up for her mundane childhood by playing video games. Now she won't shut up about them. Her eclectic tastes have worried many. Don't come to close, or she'll shove some weird indie or retro game in your face. It's better to not make eye contact. Cross the street if you see her coming.
