Review – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is such an unusual influential game. What could have been an attempt at emulating the sport became an insult to physics and one of the most entertaining games at the time. Years later, it's finally received a worthwhile remake and not the travesty that was the last remake.

Review – Resident Evil: Revelations
Back around when Resident Evil: Revelations was first released on the 3DS, some were hailing it as a return to horror (I have the receipts and everything). It's not that. It's not bad, either, but if this is only horror if you have a mortal fear of hickies.

Review – Black Bird
Yoshiro Kimura and his cohorts have my eternal gratitude for Chulip. So, I don't think there's any situation where I wouldn't be willing to try something new from them. Black Bird is a pretty far cry from promiscuous smooching, but that's okay. At least in this case.

Review – Slime Rancher
Slime Rancher is among the most successful cozy games in the niche, and for the most part, I love it. However, it's like a glass of milk; it's very enjoyable at first, but if you sit with it too long, it starts to smell and you don't want to drink it.

Review – Ben Bero Beh
I have a confession to make: I’m attracted to weird Japanese arcade games. There’s a word for it: Bakage (Ba-kah-gey, not ba-cage). It means stupid game. Review – Final Fantasy VII Remake
If you know me, it might surprise you to hear that I actually like Final Fantasy VII. I was skeptical about a remake, and I still think it's lame Square Enix is splitting it into three parts? Does VII Remake suggest it was worth it. Pfft, no it does not.

Review – Metal Slug
Do you know the Tragically Hip song "Bobcaygeon?" That's actually the next town over from where I grew up. There was a bowling alley there (it burned down), and they had a limited number of arcade machines. For a period, one of these machines was Metal Slug. I've been in love ever since.

Review – Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
I stopped following the Resident Evil series after the disappointment that was Resident Evil 5. I didn't stop caring, though, so I was happy to see it return to horror. And Resident Evil 7 is a good time, just, you know, barring a few problems I had with it.

Review – Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Nazis are easily some of the most fun-to-kill bad guys in video games. This goes back well before Wolfenstein 3D, but the series has really run with it. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a step back from the tech Nazis of The New Order but feels weirdly fresh.

Review – Cyberpunk 2077
I love cyberpunk, by which I mean the genre, not the game. The game is just all right. I'm not mad about its launch. To be honest, I didn't care. But even with all its performance issues and bugs under control, Cyberpunk 2077 is just another open world game.
