Final Fantasy Legend of the Crystals (with Guest Elsa Farron) – Spin-Offs Classic
The Spin-Off crew journeys deep into the archives of the Final Fantasy universe for a canonical sequel to Final Fantasy V, taking place 200 years after the events of the game and largely re-telling the same story in anime form. Joined by our senior Final Fantasy correspondent Elsa Farron, we discuss the OVA’s great design and animation and some very unfortunate cultural artifacts. Along the way we’ll meet the plucky young protagonist Prettz, the brave Linally, descendant of Bartz, the buffoonish Valkus, commander of the air, and the sky pirate Rouge with her army of henchwomen. Can they defeat the evil techno wizard Ra Devil on the moon?
