Global Star tried to reboot the Army Men series more than once, and it never went well. I'm not sure what they were really thinking with Soldiers of Misfortune. Did they think they'd get a new series out of this? Maybe they just wanted to cash in on the name.

Review – Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2 (PS2)
Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2 on the N64 was a few steps away from being a great thing, but then veered off course and landed in Sucksville. However, there was a PS2 version, so maybe it fixes the flaws. Nah, it would take more than extra horsepower to fix this.

Review – Army Men: World War (PS1)
Yeah, Army Men: World War. All those other times? The world wasn't at war. This time, it's the whole world. Okay, the nomentclature is actually referring to the fact that it mixes modern Army Men with WWII-like battlefields. This may surprise you, but the result has its merits.

Review – Portal Runner (PS2)
Portal Runner is a pretty infamous game in the Army Men series. You could almost say that this is where it jumped the shark, but that isn't quite true. There were worse games than Portal Runner released before and better games released after. This is more like the beginning of the end.
